I see no item on the agenda to indicate they are pursuing a replacement of the interim administrator who is costing us a lot more money than is necessary. Lack of competence? Or by design?

  2. HB Says:

Maybe Hyde isn’t available or still enjoying the bounty he lifted from LPPJ

  3. Anonymous Says:

Hall is fixing the mess that was left for him to fix. Then they’ll begin the replacement process. That controversial decision in January was probably the best thing they could have done for the parish.

ha!…i was no postel superfan, but if you believe hall is leaving willingly, i have some oceanfront property in lincoln parish to sell you

    • Anonymous Says:

No mess for Hall to fix. Beyond the elected jury members, the staff operations were running pretty smoothly.

I’m grateful some of the pj were strong enough to do what they had to do despite the show of popular support. Took a lot of guts to do that and not say why. He knew why and didn’t want people to know so played dumb for his friends. It would have worked in the 1920s.

You may believe whatever you want, but that certainly isn’t true

i love the “flip the jury” signs i’ve seen…where can i get one?

    • Anonymous Says:

We want the jury to flip so they can rehire Doug.

      • Anonymous Says:

i don’t care if they rehire doug as long as durrett and melton are gone…add russell and wyatt while we’re at it…all snakes

garriga will probably take skip’s district

          • Anonymous Says:

i know his restaurant is in it, but does he live in skip’s district?

          • Anonymous Says:

He will only ruin his business for nothing. The new jurors rarely have a clue anyway. If he was intelligent enough to be good at it, he would leave it alone. But alas! They all think they can”fix it”. Boy will they get a surprise.

            • Anonymous Says:

The police jury can be “fixed” if we dump enough of the current members.

              • Anonymous Says:

Skip will retain it. He’s a longtime businessman in this area and well respected.

mediocre food. cant imagine the management is much better

              • Anonymous Says:

Isn’t it strange how Ruston goes crazy for that food? They need to travel . Leave the parish and find great food. Stop eating so much fried .

Mose is in unless he gets an opponent. He’ll be the most surprised fellow when he steps in the first pile of poo; he’ll never see it coming and it will hurt his business.
You see, 99% of neophytes think it’s sooo simple: just do X and Y, and Bob’s your uncle. Boy do they get a rude awakening . And they don’t have to do anything obviously wrong, either.
The movie “No Country For Old Men” Has a great illustration of what happens when idealism is hit by reality.

This new guy Woods will probably take that district too. Know him. Good fella.

Woods to run for Lincoln Parish Police Jury District 2 seat

          • Anonymous Says:

i like ms. hazel, but she is ms. wyatt’s puppet…i wish mr. woods luck…i would love to see these seats flip: durrett, melton, wyatt, hunter, and russell

            • Anonymous Says:

Tommie Woods is a humble leader that will make a great police juror. It’s time for some changes.

  5. Anonymous Says:

Our largest problem with elected officials is the voters who seem to believe this is all a popularity contest unrelated to government.

  6. Anonymous Says:

Doug just got the job as principal at Darbonne Woods charter school. It pays around $130K a year. He ain’t coming back. Since that door got closed I winder how that impacts the police jury races?

    • Anonymous Says:

So apparently, very much like Calloway, Postel discovered life is better and more profitable with a six figure salary outside Lincoln Parish government. Good luck to them both. Now. What are WE going to do to fix the problems we have with our elected government officials? Anybody?

    • Anonymous Says:

      I winder too

Once a citizen joins the class of the elected they leave the ranks of the peasants forever. The citizen gains entitlements, benefits, power, control, and access. This person will never again concern themselves with the needs and desires of the electorate.

  8. Anonymous Says:

hear someone is going to run against Melton. you know, the guy that sits by Durrett so he can ask him how to vote.

    • Anonymous Says:

milton “lap dog” melton?…the guy (along with durrett) who hid the first (cheap) ruston ems contract from the rest of the jury?…good riddance!

    • Anonymous Says:

Like Pullin, Scriber, and Cranford do with Hunt?

  9. Anonymous Says:

Is Walter still with us? He hasn’t posted any news in two months.

  10. Anonymous Says:

Looks like H B and Hyde ran this site out of business

  11. Anonymous Says:

So many issues and no Walter to bring them up? Still a trash issue in the parish. Abandoned animals galore. New school bond issue. They didn’t waste any time going after that after the last one failed. $3.5 million for a softball field?? What can you put at a field beyond stands, restrooms, and concession stand that costs $3.5 million? All for RHS softball but didn’t the city build a locker room at the new sports complex for RHS softball’s exclusive use?

    • Anonymous Says:

Hah! Apparently they can’t stand that Lincoln Parish’s best softball players are going to Cedar Creek where they have a chance to win a state championship & play in college.

A tale as old as time. If you want to control the public sector, control the information. Walter has been silenced because the people who want to control the public sector cannot control the information from ‘anonymous’ people who comment on blogs. Many of the anonymous who comment are people who work in the public sector but whose jobs would be at risk if they were to comment publicly.

If there are so many who are disengaged from the public process because they cannot be bothered? They deserved to be deceived and controlled.

    • Anonymous Says:

What do you mean by Walter has been silenced? Is he tied up in a closet somewhere? Has his computer been taken from him?

      • Anonymous Says:

I’d like to know too. Why don’t you tell us? Did you tell him to stop posting?
