Another $5,000 to people for alleged “canvasing”? Sounds like more vote buying to me…..I see King Dawson and Kenneth Wilson are still on the payroll.

I’m waiting to see if they include King Dawson (friend of felons and other criminals) under the “Expenditures to Those Who Make Endorsements” report. He’s all over the black media with an endorsement ad (which includes Roslyn Jones, daughter of a convicted felon).

I have to admit that I literally rolled on the floor laughing when I heard the King Dawson endorsement commercial. I first heard it on a classic rock station, not exactly the “black community” demographic. Maybe that was a media buyer screw up?

    Link to Burketts expenditures:

If you are going to post Joyce’s you should post all candidates. Looks like he did after I posted this. So thats the point.

I think that it is ironic that certain elected officials are doing commercials and contributing to Jeff Joyce’s campaign when they continually vote for harsher DWI Laws. Is he not the candidate with 2 DWI’s. ?? Please Monroe be smater than this !!

HB786-2008 DWI- Provides with respect to penalties for offenses involving operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Voted Yes Rep. Rosalind Jones, Senator Bob Kostelka.

I would be willing to bet that every voting citizen in these areas would like to know what these two stand for. I am outraged at these two politicians.
As a family member of someone who’s life has been taken by a Drunk Driver I will make sure that I do my part to let the people know what these elected officials are doing

What’s even more ironic is the same campaign team running the Joyce camp also worked on the Koselka and Jones races. It’s just one big pile of BS and hypocrisy. North Monroe money will buy this election, too. Unless the voters take a stand and send a message they can’t be bought.

Cry me a river! You people are ridiculous!

Why are these folks “ridiculous”?? They provide some facts and all you can say is cry me a river? Walter provided a few links to campaign finance reports and Kostelka shows up with a $500 check and Jones is seen at fundraisers, pictures with him in the paper and Delta Style and now apparently in a new Joyce TV ad. Who’s crying now?

Not be baby! You are a bunch if whiners who know they are fighting a losing battle!

I’d love to know what poll you’re referring to. Last I heard, Burkett had a 7-8 point lead going into the weekend during early voting. Joyce has not done anything “publically” to advance his lead. Burkett may not have a huge lead but 50 plus 1 wins this election, “baby!”

  9. Anonymous Says:

She definitely has a lot of ground to make up. Is this the same poll she had to pull off her website because it was not in her favor?

  10. Anonymous Says:

Hahaha I know I saw that same poll. It went up for like half a day and had an overwhelming response in favor of Joyce so she took the poll down. That was too funny!

  11. Anonymous Says:

If you’re talking about the poll on the Joyce DUI website it’s my understanding that poll was removed due to the fact the same IP addresses were reloading/refreshing the poll and clicking the same response over and over to force a result for people who don’t care about DUI’s in this election. It’s already been discussed on another forum from last week. People forget cookies are set on your machine each time you click on a poll and visit a site. The Burkett folks obviously knew who was clicking and how many times they clicked. KNOE and the Ouachita Citizen experience the same issue with their polls from time to time. Apparently, people have nothing better to do than to sit around clicking refresh on a poll and calling their friends and family to do the same. Pretty scientific stuff.

  12. Anonymous Says:

Yeah I bet thats what happened!! Amazing that other polls are able to stay up for longer than a day without that happening. Guess you can make anything you control disappear when you don’t get the results you want! Too bad you can’t rig the voting machines too!
