Ambulance Committee Meets Thursday; Pafford Draft Contract Released

The Lincoln Parish Police Jury Ambulance Committee will meet Thursday, August 18, 9:00 AM, Library Events Center, 910 North Trenton.

Here is the agenda.

Also committee chair Charlie Edwards released a “rough draft” of the proposed contract between the police jury and Pafford EMS.

Wrote Edwards:

Everyone,

Attached is a draft of the Pafford proposal I got this evening. Please be aware that this is a rough draft and by no means the final proposal. It has not been reviewed by Mr Durrett, Dr white nor the attorney. I did want everyone to see it though and be prepared to give some input at the proper time.  Once again – this is only a rough draft with work still to be done so please do not consider it final by any means.

Thanks

Charlie Edwards

Qualifications of personnel are not included. Will they be EMTs or paramedics? Will it be two personnel or three like Ruston Fire? Ruston Fire has a paramedic on every ambulance. Paramedics can perform some lifesaving procedures that EMTs cannot. And not convinced one ambulance can provide adequate coverage even with so-called backup from Pafford in surrounding parishes. If we’re not careful, the quality of service to our citizens is on the verge of declining.

So we’re going to have to build a facility for the ambulance crew??

    • Anonymous Says:

They will use existing fire stations so they won’t have to sit in the ambulances between calls.

Best part of the contract is: it leaves Ruston and runny walker out.

Wow, Parish Fire says it needs 6 new employees and $3 million over the next three years to provide rescue service. And guess who ultimately has to pay–the poor taxpayer.

LPPJs have the intelligence of a rock, ya’ll should know this by now. Vote better people in. A rock leading your PJ and ya’ll would have been better off.

      Where are you seeing this?

The LPPJ members who voted down Ruston stated it was due to financial concerns. How do these people get in office and who are the idiots that voted them in?

So we’ve gone from $30,000 to a $120,000 offer to now $3 million proposal? Have I got that right?

            • Anonymous Says:

The city’s first offer was rejected because it was known robbery attempt. Runny walked caused this entire fiasco and the PJ had no other choice. Short term. Runny took the ambulance and rescue away trying to lever cash from the PJ to support RunnyWorld and he failed.

1st offer from city was $120k, Pafford told them to take that and run

There are ways to get them out even before an election. Petitions should have begun as soon as they showed their complete lack of integrity a couple of years ago. Are you really surprised at the complete lack of competence at this point? Only yourselves to blame.

The idiots that voted them in are all around you, especially in your churches. Because that’s what people do when they want to run for office. They get real cozy with one of the big churches.
