Lincoln School Personnel to get Pandemic Bonus

A special called meeting of the Lincoln Parish School Board tonight will see action to award Lincoln Parish school personnel up to $1 thousand in extra pay.

The monies are funded from Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief funds through the CARES Act.

Certified personnel will be awarded $1000, salaried support personnel $500, and hourly support personnel with set weekly schedules $400.

The meeting is at 6:30 PM, Lincoln Parish STEM Center, 925 Tarbutton Road.

    It’s important to note that LPSB is simply dispensing funds provided by the CARES Act. This is a national thing, not local.

    Good teachers work hard. They’ve had extra responsibilities during COVID–sanitizing classrooms several times a day in addition to the extra virtual learning responsibilities.

    Whether you agree with this or not depends on how important you think children are.
