Franke Group Recognized @ City Council

Franke Group, an international manufacturer of kitchen and food service systems, was recognized at last night’s meeting of the Ruston City Council, as a notable local employer. Franke has a facility in Ruston that manufactures kitchen sinks, and employs approximately 100 people.

Economic Development Administrator Kristi Lumpkin noted that the sinks are distributed nationally by Lowe’s, including the local store here in Ruston.

On hand for Franke was Zachary Daniel, Human Resources Manager at the local facility located in the McDonald Avenue Industrial Park.

As reported, the city will make efforts to acquire the federal building on North Vienna. Mayor Ronny Walker said plans are to make the facility into an arts center.

Old Post Office is more like a money pit. It is old and in bad shape and although the exterior is classic, the interior has been ruined by “modernization”.
