WEAR A SAINTS CAP TOO THAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS. WHAT IS YOUR POINT ? IF YOU WEAR IT–WHO CARES WHERE YOU GOT IT. MORE IMPORTANT ISSUES THEN STUPID TEE SHIRTS– I SUGGEST YOU SPEND THE TIME ON MORE IMPORTANT THINGS.

JUST FOR AN EXAMPLE —LETS TALK ABOUT THE CORRUPTION THE POLICE GOT AWAY WITH—–HOW ABOUT TALKING ABOUT THAT WALTER. LOL

  3. Dixie Griffin Says:

I know alot of folks who either go to or went to Tech that wear LSU clothing. What is the point ?

  4. Tom Aswell Says:

    Love it!

  5. Anonymous Says:

for those that don’t understand, 98% of the folks that wear UL-br gear never went there. 75% have never stepped on the campus. I’d say 80% of the folks that wear Tech gear do/did/will go there.

Now the trick is for Louisiana Tech to be successful enough athletically that more people start wearing our shirts. Shreveport/Bossier is probably the market to set sights on. More games at Independence Stadium, more advertising in that area, and (most importantly) get some high profile wins for the football team. In case you hadn’t noticed not everyone goes to college, but college sports have a huge fanbase. It’s probably best that you don’t alienate large groups of potential fans.

Shreveport/Bossier athletically is just a very confused community. Do we support LSU, Texas, Ark, or whoever is winning this year? Saints or Cowboys? So many say that they would support Tech if Tech would hold more games at Indy Stadium but when they do play there the fans from S’port don’t show up. If they do show up they show up wearing LSU gear. I hope Tech never plays at Indy Stadium again. It is a terrible facility in an even worse neighborhood and S’port will not support keeping it up. Is it really that hard for S’port residents to travel an hour east to come to a Tech game at a much nicer facility than Indy Stadium? It seems they have no problem traveling 4 hours south.

In the end, it is a product. If it is a product that is sought after, people will buy, if not, they won’t. The location isn’t relavent. Pricing has a little bit to do with it as well. At $35 for a ticket, not many families of 4 can afford it, in part because it simply isn’t a priority.
I will grant that the games and atmosphere are fun, but that doesn’t outweigh the cost in time and money for the value. Its a balancing act. However, if the tickets were $5 a piece, the attendance wouldn’t change noticeably.
Nobody ever addresses the issue that attendance doesn’t really matter to the average resident of North Louisiana. If Tech were to go undefeated this year, they wouldn’t be considered for a national championship.
