Ruston Board of Aldermen Monday

Ruston’s Board of Aldermen will meet in their regular monthly session Monday, July 7, 5:30 PM, Ruston City Hall, 401 North Trenton, first floor courtroom.

Here is the agenda.

First up on the agenda is a resolution recognizing the service of Alderman Elmore Mayfield, who recently passed away. Mayfield had served as District 2’s representative since 1993.

Several resolutions will be considered that will award contracts to Hunt, Guillot & Associates (HGA). The contracts are for engineering and design services related to several area projects.

Among the projects: East Colorado Avenue improvements, Corley Street drainage improvements, Wedgewood Drive drainage improvements, Ruston Downtown revitalization, and Interstate 20 lighting.

In Planning & Zoning, two subdivision plats will be considered for approval.

The Normay-Ray subdivision, off Cooktown Road north of I-20 will be zoned residential, and a plat for the Ruston Commons on Hwy 33 at Road Camp Road will be considered.

Several substandard structures will be reviewed for condemnation.
