Yesterday, Gannett’s Deputy Press Secretary for Government Mike Hasten said a vote by the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) to elect officers amounted to an attempt to “overthrow” the current President Keith Guice.
No leadership changes were made, but the board voted to keep the issue on the agenda for future meetings. Bottom line, Guice now must preside with a sword hanging over his head.
