With the national debate on the Second Amendment all over the news, we thought it would be interesting to see the exact wording of the order that was issued the last time Government tried to seize the citizen’s arms.

Boston, MassachusettsLieut. Colonel Smith, 10th Regiment ’Foot,
Sir,
Having received intelligence, that a quantity of Ammunition, Provisions, Artillery, Tents and small Arms, have been collected at Concord, for the Avowed Purpose of raising and supporting a Rebellion against His Majesty, you will March with a Corps of Grenadiers and Light Infantry, put under your Command, with the utmost expedition and Secrecy to Concord, where you will seize and distroy all Artillery, Ammunition, Provisions, Tents, Small Arms, and all Military Stores whatever. But you will take care that the Soldiers do not plunder the Inhabitants, or hurt private property.
You have a Draught of Concord, on which is marked the Houses, Barns, &c, which contain the above military Stores. You will order a Trunion to be knocked off each Gun, but if its found impracticable on any, they must be spiked, and the Carriages destroyed. The Powder and flower must be shook out of the Barrels into the River, the Tents burnt, Pork or Beef destroyed in the best way you can devise. And the Men may put Balls of lead in their pockets, throwing them by degrees into Ponds, Ditches &c., but no Quantity together, so that they may be recovered afterwards. If you meet any Brass Artillery, you will order their muzzles to be beat in so as to render them useless.
You will observe by the Draught that it will be necessary to secure the two Bridges as soon as possible, you will therefore Order a party of the best Marchers, to go on with expedition for the purpose.
A small party of Horseback is ordered out to stop all advice of your March getting to Concord before you, and a small number of Artillery go out in Chaises to wait for you on the road, with Sledge Hammers, Spikes, &c.
You will open your business and return with the Troops, as soon as possible, with I must leave to your own Judgment and Discretion.

I hate to break up the “gun grab party” but if there is anyone out there that has evidence that the government is attempting to take away our guns, SHOW THE EVIDENCE. Stop listening the radicals like Wayne LaPierre, Rush Limbaugh, Alex Jones, Fux News and their “fair and balanced” news and read and listen to what is being said. Al Capone needed assualt type weapons and 100 round clips. Not today’s homeowner or hunter. 40% of the guns sold today are sold without a requirement for registration or background checks (gun shows, private sales, etc) so what is wrong with having background checks and such on all sales. You register your car and there is a quick background check to see if you are a felon. The AR-15 Bushmaster is an assualt weapon. Period. Think about the young child in Newtown that was SHOW 11 TIMES WITH THE BUSHMASTER. His body was so messed up that his parents were not allowed to visually identify it. Photographs were used and at the funeral there was no open casket because of the condition of the body. No one is going to take away our guns but there will be laws passed concerning certain types of guns and magazines and background checks and registration. There is an idiot in Texas who has introduced legisation that will prevent federal agents from enforcing new laws in Texas. There are idiots all over the United States that are calling for Obama to be impeached. For what? There are idiots all over the United States that are calling for their states to secede. Why? The NRA has bought our Congress and threatens them if they vote against the wishes of the NRA. Are those Congressmen and women serving the people who sent them to Washington. No! The NRA is serving those who manufacture those guns and make billions of dollars each year from gun sales. People must be allowed to own weapons – it is part of our legacy and in our most basic law – the Constitution. The Second Amendment starts out “A well regulated militia” and it is those words that give our government the right to pass laws concerning guns. It doesn’t mean, and they haven’t tried to abrogate the Second Amendment, that your guns are in jeopardy. The government is just trying to keep it current. Some idiots belive so strongly in the Second Amendment that I believe that they think “the right to bear arms” includes nuclear devices. I do not thank Walter for printing that 1775 letter. I feel that as a member of the NRA he is just “stirring the pot.”

The Second Amendment gives them the right to regulate firearms. Read the part that says “a well regulated militia” and try to understand it. There is not going to be a total ban. That thought exists only in the limited minds of the NRA (who want to scare people into believin their BS) and the mini-minds of those who listen to them and all the rabble rousers to the far right in our political system. I ask you again SFB DDA to present some proof that the government is thinking about banning all weapons (I’ll admit they are trying to get assault weaons off the market), have said something about banning all weapons, or in President Obama’s 23 points, show me where he said he was after all weapons. Any proof (and proof is not something that you heard on Fux News or the minions who are paid to spout Murdock’s dribble and that of the NRA). The term “assault weapon” is a portmanteau coined by die-hard gun control advocate Josh Sugarman in his controversial 1998 book Assault Weapons and Accessories in America. The military term “assault,” applied to fully automatic weapons which only the military and very few permit holders possess, was combined with the term “weapon,” which is anything used by a person to cause harm to another person. There is no such thing as an assault weapon as evidenced by the trouble Congress had back in 1994 actually identifying them. The proper term is “rifle” when referring to civilian versions of military arms. For the left, an assault weapon is anything they say it is, and “assault weapon” is a term of art designed to misdirect the conversation and mask a hidden agenda.

here are some answers to your questions:
1. Would it matter if anyone took the time to provide facts of the actions that have taken place by his instructions to you, probably not, since you are such a O advocate.
2. Registration and background checks are a good thing, when used for the right and good of all people not just for the opportunity to try to destroy someone’s life by limiting them as to what and how the Constitution will be recognized and upheld.
3.America is a free Society-Free Enterprise-Economics of Supply and Demand-if one person can afford to own 18 assault rifles and 40,000 rounds of ammo, then what would be prohibitive toward that end, did the government think twice about providing the guns to the Mexican Drug Cartel that killed an AMERICAN who also happened to be an employee of the United States? No, but that story is like so many others when it comes to making the headlines. If it’s not petting and pampering a certain group or not politically correct, it gets buried under the fluff.
4. Led around by the nose, who knows, but you lack the guts to use your name so you more than likely hide behind other things in your life and have someone else carry out your attacks…be it verbal or written…smacks of Obama and the king of jonesboro, et al.
