There has been cases of West Nile Virus in our areas. I know of 7 cases but no deaths. There are people right now as i type this that are in Jackson Parish Hospital that have the virus. Just thought i would let people know so that the word would get out so others can be warned!!!

Patterson spoke uninterrupted for ten minutes at the 10/9 Board of Alderman meeting, and she was very explicit in what she said.

The folks at DHH that I talked to said that the laboratories that would confirm any West Nile diagnosis are conscientious about reporting such results to public health authorities.

And the documents show that no West Nile cases have occurred in Jackson parish since 2003.
