One of the other four was indicted on charges of accessory after the fact of aggravated rape, accessory after the fact of second degree murder, and other charges.

The other three were indicted on accessory after the fact of second degree murder, accessory after the fact of aggravated burglary, possession of stolen things, and other charges.

The names have not yet been released by authorities, pending arrests.

The murder victim was 63 year old Susan Hashway, who lived in the Cypress Springs area of Ruston.

People need to protect themselves. Buy a gun and know how to use it. Keep it close to you in the house. These days are getting worse and worse with crime. My gun is usually within reach throughout the day.

Having a gun “nearby” wouldn’t have made the slightest difference in this case. A large dog maybe, but a gun, no.

I hope this family will get closure. Such a tragedy. Prayers sent their way!

I knew Cameron a long time ago. He was sweet at first and charming but then his anger would show in very abusive ways. He was my first and only abusive relationship. He would punch me and verbally abuse me. I’ve went to the police, they would lock him up and after his trial or whatever he would be released. Now this POOR EXCUSE for a man murdered a woman who did nothing but give her knowledge to the world. Why did she deserve that? Why would he take a life? Next he raped a woman, causing her pain and losing all peace of mind. Why? Why would he hurt these individuals and their families. He comes from a household that was headed by a strong mother. She raised three boys by herself. I can’t imagin the pain that she is feeling nor the lost that the victims families feels. Justice is served but it doesn’t buff the tears. Bless them all. Bc he and whoever else caused so much pain.

I worked for Ms Hashway for years remodeling that huge house. She was remodeling it to take care of her elderly sisters, one of which is blind. She was the sweetest and most generous person I’ve ever met. This was an extremely brutal crime as I saw the scene first hand. May God have mercy on their souls.
