The plaintiffs in the lawsuit filed by several Jonesboro Police Department officers against the town have amended their lawsuit.
From the document:
“That plaintiffs herein were never properly terminated by the TOWN OF JONESBORO from their position as police officers although there was action taken at the recommendation of Mayor Leslie Thompson which action was illegally taken, resulting in a tie vote and Mayor Thompson illegally broke the tie.”

That is exactly what I figured you meant, and I agree. They will probably never see a dime nor will ex-chief Roberts. Why else did the whole article get posted a couple weeks back about Doug Stokes explaining that “It’s not like if you sue me and I dont pay, you can come after my house or my car.” That if the town doesnt pay then there is nothing you can do. As soon as that article published everyone involved in these lawsuits should have seen that coming. The mayor, doug and all the other idiots are so transparent it is ridiculous.
