If Stewart is still wanting money please think of the citizens that has been trying to get him to do his job about the town of Jonesboro and not give in to his excuses! Let his office suffer like this town has for years!

  2. Anonymous Says:

When he starts doing his job, then and only then should we look at money, I will be disapointed in any Police Jury Member that votes to give him more money. Please do not bow to his pressure.

The DA needs to learn a little respect for his position! Look what he has done to this town and don’t forget Bradford he let off last time too! If he had done any of his jobs, he might deserve the funds, but not in this town!

    • Hmm Says:

Did I hear that Bradford’s father wants to run for Mayor. What does that say about this whole situation?

      • Truth Says:

It says you will get an instant replay of what you have right now, just a more polished version, but the exact same thing you have now, just repackaged.

        • sunrisesunset Says:

Well, if Bradford runs and ol” Les runs and someone that is trustworthy runs, wouldn’t that split the vote between Bradford and Les’s constituents. Hopefully, this would hand over the reigns to the trustworthy opponent?

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

Since Stewart has not done anything, why, oh why, does the PJ need to bow down to his request for more money. It is obvious he does not care about the responsibility of the job entrusted to him by the residents of Jackson Parish and TJ.

We, the bloggers……..or the biggest percentage…….. say nay, nay, nay to Stewart.

  5. Neighbor Says:

Absolutely no money should go to this jerk! He should be totally ashamed of himself … what a joke! I would encourage as many people that can to attend this meeting …

  6. Anonymous Says:

Remember he can mandate and force them to fund .

    • Walter Abbott Says:

I don’t think that’s accurate. He will have to file a lawsuit first, and ask for mandamus.

Defense discovery for such a suit would likely be very revealing…

  7. Anonymous Says:

Yes, Mr.Bradford is contemplating running for Mayor.

    • Teresia Says:

good maybe he can get his son to come help run city hall and glad hand and slap the good ole boys on the back…….deal maker that he is, ya know?

    • sunrisesunset Says:

Let them compete, i.e. Bradford and Thompson. Hopefully there will be one good & trustful other opponent out there canvassing for votes. Say, someone like Renee Stringer that has Jonesboro’s interest at heart.

  8. Anonymous Says:

Thompson and Bradford both running for Mayor would probably split the black vote in the primary to some extent, but unless one of them or a third candidate gets more than 50% of the vote, there would still be a runoff between the top two and you would be faced with the same situation as in the past two elections, when Thompson got more than half the votes in both.

  9. Anonymous Says:

SHUT UP AND VOTE… MAYBE BIG BROWN WILL KEEP WASHING CARS AND STAY OUT.

  10. Brenda R. Says:

Thompson, Bradford, Brown, Stringer, Jones…..and the one left lurking in the shadows………

  11. Anonymous Says:

I Heard Pete Stringer was running

    • Orlando Says:

thompson, Bradford, Brown, Stringer A, Stringer R, A.Jones, lurker, Cottonham, Mason, Horton, Flowers, Wiley, Johnson, Pernell ….just to name a few. It’s 2 years off, what is the big deal?

      • Anonymous Says:

That’s alot of folks, i don’t think all of them are going to run.But its a big deal in the Black neighbor, just keep going to those meetings

        • anon 2 Says:

what meetings? the one at the deer camp or the one at the cinder block building or the one at mcdonald’s ? tell us which one you want us to attend.

  12. Anonymous Says:

    Dont forget MAXIE

  13. Anonymous Says:

If the best we can do is R Stringer and F Brown we are in trouble.

  14. Anonymous Says:

With all the talk about who is going to run for mayor, haven’t heard much about who is going to run for Alderman at Large and against Sam Lamkin. Those two elections are almost as important as Mayor.

    • Anonymous Says:

I think Pete Stringer is going to run for Alderman at Large

      • Ricky Says:

so funny everyone is running for this and declaring to run for that……it’s 2 years away. you people act you are going to qualify tomorrow……get a grip…….the man will still be there scratching his head, counting pennies and passing out duct tape and bailing wire trying to hold together the mess that king and his crewe caused……….

      • anonymous Says:

My husband said he always got up and walked out when the heat was on about voting, should make a good addition to what is already up there…… said Les always made him nervous,

  15. Anonymous Says:

I agree, its a long time til election time. We need to worry about how the heck the town is even going to survive until then!

    • Ricky Says:

exactly……..bottom line, if you meet the criteria, can pay the qualifying fee, then run, who cares, the one with the most votes will win, so run…..but wait until it’s time…..this is almost as funny as the woman that ran for police juror 2 years early……

      • Anonymous Says:

If the DA does his job and charge the Council for not following the Larson Act

        • Tim Says:

it’s 2012, what has been done thus far, had plenty of opportunities since 2008, do you see anything being done, except more of the same thing…………Lawrason Act…..what part did the council not follow, be specific……….so we can be sure and watch that action……not!

          • Anonymous Says:

I was told that the Mayor is telling the people in the Black Church that he was found innocence of all charges. When did that happened?

  16. Anonymous Says:

How was this meeting last night?
