And from our friend C. B. Forgotston yesterday, there is this eye-opener.

Jenkins lays groundwork for Moret

Rumors have been swirling for weeks that the ethically-challenge head of economic development in Louisiana, Stephen Moret would be the next LSU System President and Chancellor of LSU-Baton Rouge.

Today, Interim President and Chancellor Bill Jenkins as much as confirmed the Moret appointment in an appearance before the Baton Rouge Press Club. Here’s a report.

Jenkins also hinted that LSU may need to dump the Charity Hospital System. We know that has been Bobby Jindal’s goal since he headed DHH under Governor Mike Foster.

Moret’s record proves that he will do whatever Jindal wants.

Jindal has a lock on the votes on the LSU Board of Supervisors. Additionally, Bobby just appointed Scott Angelle, his top lobbyist to LSU BOS. Angelle’s job will be to handle the appointment of Moret from the “inside.”

It will take years for the next governor to name enough members to the LSU BOS to get rid of Moret.

It looks like a done-deal for Moret.
