Stand firm, Judge Teat. Johnny Cash sang this…Josh Turner wrote it…

There’s a long black train comin’ down the line
Feeding off the souls that are lost and cryin’
Rails of sin, only evil remains
Watch out, brother, for that long black train

Look to the Heavens, you can look to the sky
You can find redemption staring back into your eyes
There is protection and there’s peace the same
Burnin’ your ticket for that long black train

‘Cause there’s victory in the Lord, I say
    Victory in the Lord
Cling to the Father and His Holy name
And don’t go ridin’ on that long black train

Turner wrote and recorded this. {for whatever that’s worth} Great reference to TOJ plight.

When will ole les and his so called attorneys aren’t capable of running this town? They should be worried about how much of the towns money they are wasting with this nonsense!

  3. Down Town in Jonesboro Says:

Ol’ Powell-Lexing sure can take a punch. She gets a ruling against her and she’s off to another court whinning about the wrong that is being done to our esteemed CTIC. The way she flits about shows that she is deserving of her self-proclaimed name of legaldove@bellsouth.net. Oh, for all of the crap to end and the town get back on its feet. Oh, what a happy day that will be.

If he loses on appeal, does he have to pay the town back the legal fees?

“Convicted former mayor back on Richwood payroll”….he is going to head up economic development for Richwood ……working on a motel for their town.

Convicted mayor has not paid back what he stole from Richwood and now he is back on the payroll…..how weird is that?

Must be some motel broker hitting all the little towns …talking about building motel/hotels everywhere.

Thought this was funny and wanted to share.

It’s not funny. It’s pathetic. How does a criminal get a job with a municipality? (ok, stop laughing, i know what most of you are thinking). But, really, maybe I am just too naive or stupid to keep believing in the justice system and right prevailing over wrong. I just really want Jesus to come back so I don’t have to ponder one more moment of this idiocracy.

Channel 8 carried a story about the appeal of the Town of Jonesboro against the judgment in the Essmeier case tomorrow in Shreveport. Thompson was blasting the judge in his interview, saying he did not get a “fair shake,” hoped a different judge would make a different ruling.

    • Anonymous Says:

Thompson sure is not looking too good on the TV.

      Looking exhausted….worried about something????
