Jonesboro Robbery Spurs Talk about Public Safety
Authorities say a man was robbed at gunpoint while at work in Jonesboro. The crime is bringing attention to public safety in the town, which just recently lost most of its police force.
Sheriff Brown has picked up the slack, but he doesn’t support the mayor’s move. “You close the police department to open the dog pound?” he questioned.

The Channel 10 reporter said everyone she interviewed in Jonesboro except one wants the Police Department back. Wonder who that one was? Maybe if there is a favorable rulingi in the court case, the fiscal administrator will bring it back.

I did not see the report. I hope she gave details such as in the wee hours of the morning and that the suspects beat the victim and he is in the hospital. In other words, I hope the reporter did not “sugar
coat” the robbery.

I watched as much as I could stomach of the “interview”. It begins with the Dildo laughing and then the CTIC compares himself with the President of the United States (the President inherited a bad economy and I came into office with the whites not knowing how to accept an African American as their mayor). Racism. Strictly Racism on his part. Things are good in Jonesboro except for the Black mayor whom the whites don’t like. Had to stop listening because it was just plain bullshit. Who does Dildo think he is – Matt Lauer?

Of course, with a disclaimed financial report, one cannot be certain what documents can be relied upon. Also, we don’t know at this time which CD’s are “encumbered,” or pledged as collateral for an obligation. Not that a financial pledge counts for much as far as the town’s finances are concerned.

I think, but am not sure, that the meter deposit, street repair and fire operating CD’s are pledged. I’ve not seen paperwork on that, but I recall some discussion about it.

The series should be called “The Stooge Robs Jonesboro”. Of course, he would have to have all of his sidekicks…….eeny, meny, miny, mo & momo. We will leave Renee out though. Although, she could play the Sheriff. My, what a rip-roaring good time she would have. Yipppeee!
The last episode of the show could be entitled “Jonesboro….Back in the Saddle Again”.

hey thompson i have a question for you i know you read this.i was my way to church this past sunday drove by city hall.your car was there along with a white car that had out of state tags and it was backed up right in front of the fron door with its trunk up! yall where loading box,s in the trunk so my question is mr.thompson what where you and the other guy loading up in the car?
