Thank goodness the level headed voters prevailed in Lincoln Parish. Both the Sheriffs taxes and the School taxes passed.
That is what makes Lincoln Parish above ther rest – a willingness to step up and do whats right even if it is gonna cost a little more.

People have lost their fear of government, they continue to feed the growing monster that will consume their freedom. Some people are waking up, though, and the Great Awakening continues.

SO HOW DID THAT WHOLE,”THIS TAX WILL NEVER PASS” THING WORK OUT FOR YA?HAHA!!

Very glad that both propositions passed. I think a few of you need to really dig deep and realize that everyone who read your nasty comments understands and respects your decision to not support these taxes. However, because of the way you directly slandered the sheriffs office you have probably lost the respect of a lot of citizens. I am proud to live in a community that has such dedicated law enforcement and a good Christian leader! Thankful that LPSO will be able to continue to protect our community the way they have for so many years!

The main question is: how much government is enough? Too much? How much can society afford? Where does power reside in the United States: people or government?
It is not, never was, a question of the competence or niceness (or Christianity) of the Sheriff or the department. Every government sees their part of the world as important and deserving of all the money they want; taken in aggregate, we get an all-powerful government which is destroying freedom and the economy.
