An Answer has been filed in the lawsuit of EXCO Operating Company vs Debra Jackson, administrator of the Jackson Parish Tax Commission.
Shreveport attorney Richard Barham filed the document last Monday in Second Judicial (Bienville, Claiborne, Jackson parishes) District Court in Jonesboro.
EXCO had alleged that sales taxes were improperly charged on several non-taxable transactions between contractors and EXCO, such as construction, repair and servicing of immovable property, installation services, well fracturing services, and other down-hole services.
The Answer denied almost all the allegations.

Maybe the parish name could be changed from “Jackson” to Jackpot.
The money that is spent by Jackson Parish governmental agencies sure looks like there is a jackpot of gold!

Maybe this paper should write true details. The suit is with The Jackson Parish Sales Tax AGENCY. Which Mrs. Jackson works at. The suit is not vs. her. “I tell ya ABBOT AND PIKES should report the truth. Instead of what they want you to know or to see it in their eyes to start controversy with people they dispise.

Go HEAD DEBRA……..This was in her ruling, like all the other charges brought up against her. This is a honest woman, that has a reporter and the owner of an online newpaper out to get her. So glad to see her name was cleared.

Good job Mrs. Jackson. When you are true Christian and believe in his word, these things happen. And the result was victorious for you.

Doesn’t look to me as if anything has been decided in court as yet. “The Answer” is more or less a motion by the defense lawyer to disregard the charges against his client. Don’t celebrate yet until the judge makes his ruling, and you may not be able to then.

If you read the answer, you would see it was in Mrs. Jackson favor.
