The latest loan application by V-Vehicle Co. to the U. S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing (ATVM) Loan program was not made until May 19th of this year, according to DOE spokesperson Ebony Meeks. No documentation or paperwork is publicly available, wrote Meeks in response to an email inquiry.
This second application comes almost two months after the company’s initial application was rejected, and a month and a half since the company said it intended to refile. The company has not explained the delay in filing the second application.
Looming in the next couple of weeks is the deadline of June 9 set by the Ouachita Parish Police Jury (OPPJ) for refund of local monies raised via a 2.9 mil property tax levied on Ouachita Parish property owners.
LPNO has reported extensively on the controversial company and the Monroe project. Archived stories can be found here. We will continue to report on this ongoing story.

After their were first loan application was rejected they fired their head guy and said that they would rework their application and give the DOE the information they wanted. They did that… so what’s ur complaint?

If they were to put up their own money, we would shut up and find something else to write about. But they’ve not done that, as far as we know. We know nothing of changes they have or haven’t made with their application.
