Lincoln Parish News Online’s Senior Correspondent has uncovered new information regarding the financing for construction of Monroe Regional Airport’s new terminal.
Grigsby & Associates is the senior manager of a $20 million bond issue for the project. Founder Calvin Grigsby was indicted two times by the US Justice Department for wrongdoing in Florida.
Grigsby has recently had dealings with Shreveport and Birmingham, AL.
Birmingham’s mayor, Larry P. Langford, was indicted last year for allegedly taking bribes for doling out financial business. Just this past week, lobbyist Al LaPierre – also indicted in the case – agreed to plead guilty and testify against the mayor.
